it's been a long time..

december is usually quite a busy time of year for everyone, this was especially the case for me to end 2012. i had heaps of deadlines to meet before the year closed and even tighter one's as i was starting my holidays earlier to go back to sydney for the christmas and new year break. no idea how i managed to actually get everything done!

i had a dope time back home, spent most of the trip laying out in the sun with my homies and finally getting some much needed colour. unfortunately every trip has to come to an end, so here i am, back in the kong. one upside for coming back was just before i left i picked up this  a. wang bomber, so finally i have a chance to rock it.

(alexander wang jacket, ann demeulemeester shirt, nudie jeans, nike shoes, alexander mcqueen chain and wallet, gala curios and vintage rings)

game on

a little while ago i introduced a favorite of mine to work with, tina (t-doggy). the clean, sports inspired shoot was just published a couple of days ago in hong kong's post mag. turned out dope, all thanks to a great team - tina, ryan, roni and myself.

check the shoot below along with a few outtakes.

sheung wan, hong kong

it's finally time to start wearing the winter threads again, it's not winter yet but it's definitely approaching fast. hong kong only ever has that in-between season for about 3 weeks, it's basically either hot or cold... and the cold has completely creeped up on me.

don't get it twisted, i love this time of year, as do most people who are into fashion. it's the typical answer of being able to do more with what you wear, more accessory options, the choice of layering different pieces and just being able to pile everything on. to be honest though, after living in hong kong for some time now i'm pretty much just looking forward to just being able to walk down the street and not break into a sweat. that, and i get to wear my beanies again.

(apc x carhartt beanie, uniqlo l/s waffle tee and socks, insight singlet and shorts, elke necklace, alexander mcqueen wallet and chain, vans x wtaps shoes, vintage jewelry, i love ugly watch)

seeing is believing

a few months ago i did a shoot for the fashionisto magazine, new york. the theme for the issue was darkness. my thought process was pretty straight forward, darkness - blind - can't see - obstructed vision, this basically led to the end result where i styled each look with the models eyes being covered/obstructed.

i had a great team involved, josephine (who i have been trying to organize a shoot with for some time and we finally made it happen!), ryan, martin, and my homie cam who was in town visiting. The shoot turned out dope, i'm heaps happy with it.

t-doggy

one of the things i love about my job is i often get to repeatedly work with my good friends. recently i shot with my homegirl tina, and once again had the pleasure to shoot with her for a hong kong mag.

the last time tina and i shot together it was extremely casual and natural, so this time around i wanted to go the other way and style something quite sleek, still on that sports tip but just clean and sharp, lot's of black and white.

check out some shots of t-doggy that i took behind the scenes.
