my friend jessica came to hong kong for a quick visit before heading for london. we punched out 2 shoots while she was here, "friday night lights" and this, "back streets". the theme for this issue was gender. i wanted to style a playful shoot so eve smith was perfect with her boyish charm. the shoot was published with youth & freedom magazine, new york.

for those who don't know me personally, i've been obsessing over overalls. i'm dying to get a pair , tailored to fit perfectly, and made with really nice fabrics, possibly a wool or something on that line. just to give it a bit more of a dressed up vibe.well, it always seems impossible to find the exact piece you want, and right now, it seems nobody is really making these babies, so maybe i should just invest in a custom pair. in the meantime, my amazing girlfriend got me these bad boys, some vintage levi's, i have to admit, they're pretty ill.

friday night lights

this is my good friend marta, we met here in hong kong after sharing a light, and bonded over our love of frozen yoghurt and massive slices of pizza. it's kind of funny, my friend was actually trying to pick her up and failed miserably. she's a bit out of his league!


marta was perfect for this shoot, i wanted the shoot to obviously be sporty, but also sexy.
she's a really athletic girl and gives of this dominant power as well so the shoot turned out great and had that perfect amount of fashion, sport and sex appeal.
