"the speed of sound" teaser for hysteria magazine

i had the chance to work with hysteria magazine a few months back and really enjoy producing editorials for them. they give me a chance to be a bit more conceptual with my shoots which is always a lot of fun when you have a team that really vibes off one another. this time around, i pulled together the homies jeff and lauren to shoot and really love the end result.

for this shoot i decided to go quite literal with the theme of voices, and decided to create the sounds waves that voices produce through vibrations and distortions.

check out the teaser below and keep an eye out for hysteria's issue 4 releasing soon.
¹voice;
pronounced [vois]
- the sound produced in a person's larynx and uttered through the mouth, as speech or song.
¹sound;
pronounced [sound]
- produced by continuous and regular vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear.

yasmin - styled by...

episode two of "styled by" which was recently featured on hypebeast features singer-songwriter slash dj, yasmin. yasmin's been traveling back and forth to hong kong for a little while now playing at some of the cities biggest parties, and on her latest visit we got together to produce the next episode of the series. she was staying for a little while so lucky for me she had a decent amount of her wardrobe in town. was definitely feeling her extremely soft leather biker jacket and her weed tee, which suits her perfectly.

off the rocks - fashionising.com

a little while ago i teamed up with canadian photographer alan chan. he was in town for a short visit and we decided to collab on a beach story. we headed to big wave bay early in the morning on a weekday, thinking it would be at the least semi private. we were completely wrong. there happened to be some sort of school excursion and nat basically had an entourage of children swarming around her everywhere she went, making it pretty difficult to shoot, and even more difficult when she had to get changed. she handled it like a pro, and we got some really great shots in the end.

check out the shoot below with some added outtakes.
