here's a little behind the scenes video of the deja crew shoot. all in all it was a fun day. working yet again with my fake asian sister from another mother, morgan and the homegirl evie.
keep an eye out on morgan, she's a great talent, photographer and videographer and now dj. is it just me, or are all my friends becoming dj's!??

fabricated [stahyl]
for some reason, fate was against me for this shoot.
i had this concept of styling a shoot completely out of fabric, no clothing what so ever. basically to educate myself on the way different fabrics would sit and fall. i've always had a fascination with drapery, and this was the perfect outlet to experiment with it.
so, back to fate being against me. it just so happened the shoot took quite a lot of planning and surprisingly, obtaining really nice fabrics from designers was a lot harder than i had hoped. none the less, i managed to source some. then out of nowhere, the night before the scheduled date for the shoot, i receive a text. the text was from rose saying she was at ksubi's "big in japan" show, and what did they do? a show completely styled using fabric!
lucky for me, my styled looks dont look at all like the ksubi show.

the twelfth letter high summer 10
while sourcing some pieces for a shoot a little while back, i was lucky enough to meet quill, the head designer for the australian label, the twelfth letter. quill and i immediately hit it off. later, he actually assisted me on a photo shoot. we worked really well together, both really vibing of each other's creative thoughts which basically lead to a great friendship, a whole lot of alcohol, a few more shoots and this, the high summer 10 look book for the twelfth letter.

sheung wan, hong kong
so i have been in hong kong for almost a month now and am still trying to find my bearing's. while walking around trying to discover my new home town i stumbled upon joyce's anniversary exhibition which is somewhere along the border of sheung wan and mid-levels if that's possible. not too sure really.
the exhibition was quite cool showcasing a history of fashion through some high end designer's work.
it's nice to know that my new home has such an interest in fashion! cant wait to see what else hong kong has installed for me.
